Getting there

Not even going to bother explaining lack of updates. Combination of sloth and ignorance, I’m afraid. Doesn’t help either that the “experimental” (read broken) auto blogging feature over at Delicious hasn’t been churning out auto updates, which would have helped fill the void. I have been bookmarking and sharing them over there, just that feature hasn’t been working. Ho hum….

Regardless, that is now a problem of the past. That post you (may) see below was a test for a WordPress plugin that should take care of that little problem now, which in turn should mean a tiny bit more content around here. Another problem crossed off the list is that all the posts are now properly tagged, so if you after the old Blogger posts, you can now find them by searching for Blogger in the search bar. Or alternately, if you want to read some of my comments from the last World Cup, again, just enter World Cup and you should find them. I may even sort out the categories later as well, just to get absolutely everything sorted.

Dumber and Dumber

While moving the contents of the old blog from Blogger over here a few months back, I stumbled across the draft for a long forgotten draft written in December 2006. Reading back through it nearly 30 months later seems strange, particularly given what followed afterwards. What I wrote should hopefully give you some idea of where this is going.

December 2006 – Something amusing involving the word Shiekh?

So, it seems as if the long search is over. Or at the very least, looks likely to happen more than so than in the past. In case you were unaware, we are about to go East in our search for investment and indeed we are about to go one better than Chelski and have an entire country as our main backer.

Same Old Stories

Not a huge amount in the press today, Liverpool related; most, if not all, of it focused on the fact that a title race that should have been over 6 weeks ago is close to finally being put to rest. And of course the fact that a certain Mr C. Ronaldo, completely out of character, threw what can be descibed in footballing terms as a wobbly.

I'm a little teapot, short and stout...

I'm a little teapot, short and stout...

I’ve written before that I’m not a fan of Mr CR and I never will be, not just because he plays for the Manchester team but because of the incredible arrogance of the guy although to be fair one does kind of come with the other on that one. In fact, it says alot that even some Utd fans are starting to tire of his histrionics but this is not really of any concern to me.

Hmm, Yummy!

Well, I promised I was working on things behind the scenes to do with the site and I’m glad to say that I can now announce that I now have a Delicious page.

For those that are unfamiliar, Delicious is a form of social bookmarking where users can share links with other users. And it’s where I will be bookmarking various Liverpool related news stories throughout the course of the week. I’ve been getting in a good habit recently of checking through the British newspapers newsfeeds at least every other day and finding the various nuggets of information that reside in them.  In time (hopefully over the next few days) I will decide whether to do auto blogging of any new stories or whether to pick out the most relevant half dozen or so, in much the same way as the excellent F1 Fanatic blog does on a daily basis.

So, if you fancy some reading while I’m not about here, which to be fair is fairly often, then head over to my Delicious page and feed yourself. Did you see what I do there? Clever, wasn’t it? No, I didn’t think it was either….

Wow

All RIGHTEE then…

Things have been quieter than a trappist monastery around here, which is ironic given that April has been anything other than a quiet month. ANYTHING but.

From THAT Champions League game to THAT game against Arsenal, it really has been one hell of a month. And also quite an emotionally draining one too.

The Chelsea game was astonishing; not just because we managed to score four at Stamford Bridge and could still only draw but also Chelsea’s turn around in the second half. As I said to some Chelsea fans (yes I have them; no I am no proud of myself) the worse thing that ever happened was half-time. If it had been 90 minutes of football straight through, we could probably one by ten. Alas football’s T1000, Didier Drogba, helped start off a quite astonishing second half. I’ve often said that everytime Drogba goes down like an extra from Platoon that a vet in the crowd should just come out and just put him out of his misery. And never more did I think that than that night. It wasn’t meant to be but hey, there are more important things in the world.
