Emotionally Drained

So, just another 24 hours in the life of Liverpool Football Club then?

I don’t really have a huge desire to blog today, particularly after last nights efforts and even more so after watching the (unsurprisingly) emotional memorial service on BBC News earlier.

There are some efforts being made behind the scenes to sort things out around here. Not going to make promises but as much as our momentum is building as we head towards the end of the season, my will and desire to blog more seems to be increasing alongside it. Basically, expect a bit more around here soon. I promise.

Just don’t expect me to be doing much today, eh?

May the 96 RIP. You’ll never walk alone.

Coming soon

Having spent all day writing that monthly review on Sunday, I haven’t had much inclination to blog. That will be corrected tomorrow when I WILL get round to sorting out a couple of things. However, I did want to get this out of the way while it was still fresh.

Most of today was spent listening to the Lonely Island album and while that brought a smile to my face, about halfway through, the following appeared in my Inbox….

email

Given our performance last night, and with rumours of Stevie’s fitness, I’d probably get a game next Tuesday. Couldn’t do any worse than Lucas, right?

Oh, and I didn’t respond to Samsung’s kind offer, in case you were in any doubt.

Month in Review – March ‘09 : March Madness

This is the first of monthly round-ups of news, views and opinions from the site and from the British press. This months is my first attempt at doing something like this, so please go easy on it. Like many things around here at the moment it is a WIP, getting the site ready for a serious, five pronged assault next season. So without further ado….

March started with us having something of a personality complex; Good enough to go to the Bernabau and beat, what would turn out to be a fairly mediocre, Real Madrid but then poor enough to go to the Riverside and lose to what is turning out to be an extremely poor Middlesbrough side. There are a few explanations as to why this happened but the fact that Middlesbrough are clearly our “bogey” team (we haven’t won there since 2001) and that playing a game less than 72 hours after playing in Madrid would probably rank fairly high up the list. That is certainly no excuse; at the time of writing, that win stands as Middlesbrough’s only one in 17 games and they’ve barely scored a goal in anger, or indeed any other type of football, since.
