The 51st Post

It’s odd really. No matter how bad a situation is, there is always something or someone to help you through it. We can’t seem to win in the league for want of trying, our strikers are off form, we’ve got a midfield that seems to be all over the place and a manager who has no idea who he’s likely to be working with from one week to the next.

The talk now is of a Middle Eastern businessman coming in and buying us, though thankfully it’s a Middle Eastern businessman from one of the stable countries, Qatar or Dubai IIRC. Either way, The club will have a new owner by the end of the season at the very latest and it’ll do the club a power of good. The whole talk of change of ownership has affected us for too long and putting that one to bed ASAP is our top priority. Yet despite all of this, Man Ure’s Champions League form is a chink of light through the early season clouds. Having been sunk in Copenhagen, they’ve now gone and lost to one of THE great free kicks of this season’s Champions League.

Shunsuke Nakamura, you will always have a place in my footballing heart.

Still, the game against PSV tomorrow, which is as dead a rubber as a dead, rubbery thing (I’m running on empty this evening. I’m sorry) should give us a chance to restore some confidence and give a couple of the “fringe” players a run in the team. Our form in the European Cup has been strong this season and despite PSV’s strong form in recent weeks (Won all ten of their last games, scoring 33 and conceding 2) I can’t see them coming and winning.

Although I said that about the Benfica home game last season and look what happened. I wonder whatever happened to the manager of that side…….

An increasingly frustrating existance

Well, updates here are becoming as frequent as wins away from home. I wont apologise for my lack of updates because a) I don’t mean it and b) No fucker is actually reading this, bar my lovely Brother-in-law Flotsky.

So, where are we. Not just in terms of Liverpool’s season but also personally speaking and in terms of this webscapade of a website.

Dealing with the first matter, I’m not really sure where we stand. One minute the club is bordering on a crisis, the next we’ve re-ignited our title challenge, the next we’re favourites to go down. Admittedly, this is if you believe what the press say. And if you’re stupid enough to believe them, well, you get what you deserve.
